Finally all groups made a poster and each school had a piece of the poster. There were some powerful implications for learning when each school met. There was accountability to other students.
After the meeting and the presentations kids had a day of play.

10 classrooms spread over the plant.
The first 5 weeks is working on the math about sunlight and darkness. This is during the fall equinox. It is the tilt of the earth that is the reason for the seasons. Work is tracked on the graph. Watch the lines on the graph to converge. Each group has a packet and there are 2 kids per classroom. They get clues about their country or continent. and each group has differnt classroom. Google doc to enter date. students had to imput all the data. Then they could see the diffenert data of logging information. Soon the students were getting closer to the amount of time by comparing other information.
Getting ready to fill out the form was more difficult.
Students had to guess what state, city, country and continent their mystery classroom was located.
Ended the session with the video classroom. Discussed the reasoning for the guess and the latitude and longitude. Again the final write ups.
Lends itself to writing in a structure to guess the mystery classroom They used scientific evidence to support the guess.
